“Good times ahead.”
So reads an Instagram post published earlier today by Claudio’s in Greenport, announcing a Bahamas location is coming soon.
Greater Long Island has reached out to the Claudio’s team, but the company’s Bahamas site is live, and it looks like a taste of LI is headed to the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas.
Claudio’s Bahamas will open next month.
“Whether you’re coming by land or sea, day or night, Claudio’s is all about making good moments great,” the Bahamas location page on the Claudio’s website reads.
“With friendly service, tasty meals, and a cozy vibe, every visit leaves you with fond memories and a longing to return.”
Claudio’s, which is sprawled across a waterfront campus, used to be famously recognized as the longest continuously operated restaurant in the U.S. run by the same family, with the same last name.
It was opened in 1870 by Manuel Claudio. That run lasted for 148 years until the business and properties were sold in 2018, according to widely circulated media reports.
Now, after 155 years, Claudio’s is opening a second location.
The Claudio’s Bahamas Instagram page is also live. Follow along for updates:
