Commack woman hits $1M jackpot on Lottery’s ‘Lady Luck’ scratch-off

A Commack woman has claimed a $1 million top prize on New York Lottery’s Lady Luck Doubler scratch-off game.

Victoria Alonso, 61, purchased the winning ticket during a shopping trip at a Stop & Shop located in Farmingville at 2350 North Ocean Ave.

Alonso chose to receive her prize as a one-time, lump sum payment that totaled $585,900 after required withholdings.

All top prizes on the Lady Luck Doubler scratch-off ticket have been claimed, according to New York Lottery. Valid lower tier prizes may be cashed through March 1, 2023.

Players may check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.

New York Lottery noted that their scratch-off games generated more than $4.2 billion in total sales during fiscal year 2020-2021. School districts in Suffolk County received more than $281 million in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same time period, according to New York Lottery.
