The historic Nathaniel Conklin House in Babylon Village is readying for its annual Apples and Arts Festival set later this month.
The art exhibit portion will run Friday, Oct. 18, to Sunday, Oct. 20. It will feature artwork from 50 artists — ranging from amateur to professional works — inside the iconic village building.
“It opens with a reception on Oct. 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continues on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, from noon to 3 p.m.,” said Babylon Village trustee Robyn Silvestri, who organizes events at the Conklin House.
As far as the Apple Festival goes, that will be a one-day event — it kicks off on Saturday at noon and runs until 4 p.m.
“There are games and activities for children and families along with a delicious selection of fresh picked apples from a local farm,” said Silvestri.
The activities will be held on the lawn of the Conklin House property, which is located at 280 Deer Park Avenue.
The Apple Festival will happen the same day as the village’s Fall Harvest and Street Fair.
