Fadeley’s in Patchogue reopens Friday with live music lined up all weekend

|

Grab your mugs and bring your appetite. Fadeley’s is back!

The deli pub — a longtime favorite on the west side of Patchogue — returns to action Friday at noon with a roar. Bands will be in the house playing live music all weekend, including Jules Radino from Blue Oyster Cult, who will perform 2 p.m.

After temporarily shutting down operations earlier this year, Fadeley’s relaunches with a new ownership team consisting of Scottie Campbell, Chris Breheny, Ed Shine and Patrick Wright. The crew — best friends who grew up together in Patchogue — took over the space at 422 W. Main Street during the spring.

“We’re beyond excited to reopen the legendary Fadeleys Deli Pub, bringing back its old glory as a neighborhood gem,” Shine said. “It’s a great place for friends, food, and fantastic live music—just like it always was.”

Established in 1973, Fadeley’s became widely known for its hearty sandwiches and a wide selection of German beers. The deli service was shut down in the early 2000s, as the pub shifted its focus on being a neighborhood watering hole.

But the new owners have brought it back.

“We’ll have great heroes, soups, and a wide selection of draft beer,” Campbell previously told Greater Long Island, regarding Fadeley’s reintroduction of the kitchen.

Fadeley’s September to remember

Rum Punch Mafia performs later on Friday and Shawn Rooney takes the stage on Saturday. Check out the remainder of Fadeley’s September live music schedule below.

100-beer mugs on the wall … still

Walking in, patrons will still feel at home. They’ll notice the vintage signs, drinking mugs, steins and quirky knick-knacks that have decorated the deli pub’s walls for 50-plus years. The drinking plaques — rewarded to those diehards who drink 100 beers at Fadeley’s — also will remain.

With plans to add more.
