With Halloween approaching, Patchogue and Medford residents have a weekend of diverse events and activities to choose from.
From family-friendly gatherings to more suspenseful experiences, there’s a variety of options. Whether you want to show off your costume, savor local cuisine or support charitable initiatives, this weekend offers a range of Halloween.
Here’s a preview of what’s in store:
Patchogue-Medford High School hosts its annual “Trick or Treat Street!” event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday night. Organizers ask that participants use the doors located at the north and south parking lots to enter the school, located at 181 Buffalo Ave. in Medford. A $2 donation will be accepted at the door, with all proceeds going to charity.
The annual Patchogue Fall Festival takes place Saturday, Oct. 28, on Main Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The featured activities include a chili and chowder contest, a kids costume parade, pumpkin decorating, face painting, beer tasting, live music and a petting zoo. A bevy of food and craft vendors will line Main Street for the vent, and indoor and outdoor dining will be available at Patchogue’s downtown restaurants.
“Death Roe’s Third Annual Haunt Walk” the last night to get creeped out here is Friday, Oct. 27, from 7-10 p.m. It happens at 125 Roe Ave in Patchogue. Organizers seek a $5 donation or $5 worth of non-perishable food. chairty haunt walk. All of the proceeds go to the Patchogue-Medford Youth Community Services.
Julie’s Gym in Medford will host its third annual “Trunk or Treat Fundraiser” on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 3-5 p.m. Trunks will be decorated for the kids to trick-or-treat through and the gym will raffle off a free month of gymnastics classes and a free open gym pass. Admission to Trunk or Treat is $5; an open play gym option is available for $10. Cotton candy will be sold for $1. The raffle is $10. You can bundle it all for $20. The gym is located at 620 Old Medford Ave.
Genesis Church in Medford is set to host a “Trunk or Treat” event on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 3-5 p.m. The rain-or-shine event will feature candy, hot dogs, popcorn and bouncers. The church is located at 28A Industrial Blvd.
Birdie’s in Patchogue is hosting a Halloween costume part on Saturday, Oct. 28. The fun begins at 9 p.m. with a DJ and drink specials. Birdie’s is located at 17 North Ocean Ave.
Patchogue Fire Department’s Euclid Hose Company on Saturday, Oct. 28, will host the Running Dead 5K Run/Walk. Humans will get a one-minute start before the “zombies.” The zombies who chase down and capture the most flags from the humans will win prizes. The Brick House Cardio Club in Medford is hosting a “Glow in the Dark Halloween Party” from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Welcome to kids aged 5-12, the party will include pizza and beverages, a costume contest, and dancing and games. Admission is $15 per child. You can Venmo your payment to @BRICKHOUSE-CARDIO. Brick House Cardio Club is located at 3261 Horseblock Road.
Minnesota’s, at 76 W. Main St. in Patchogue, is holding a Kids Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 1-4 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment, a costume contest, prizes, dancing and food and drink. The new downtown restaurant will follow that up with a Halloween costume party for the adults at 9 p.m.
Medford Volunteer Ambulance is hosting “Trunk or Treat” on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 3-6 p.m. The building is located 1005 Sipp Ave. in Medford.
Pine Grove Inn in East Patchogue on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 7-10 p.m. will host a Halloween-themed event featuring live music from the band No Stone Unturned. Costumes and dancing are highly encourage. The restaurant is located at 1 First St. in East Patchogue.
Rhum in Patchogue is set to host “Frights and Delights” on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 8-11 p.m. on the first floor and rooftop of the restaurant, located at 13 Main St. Party goers can dress up to enter into the event’s costume contest. The night will feature a live DJ.
Ristegio’s in Patchogue is hosting a Halloween bash featuring the dance rock band Panic on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. The party will feature a Halloween costume contest. the restaurant is located at 641 Medford Ave.
The Vintage Beano and Vino Lounge has a Halloween party on tap for Saturday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. The night will featurew live music from The Blend, a band that plays a mix of dance tunes from the 1960s through today. The restaurant, located at 3316 Route 112 in Medford is offering a $35 deal for a hot buffet and the live music.
The Edge at Lulu’s in Patchogue wants you to get your Stevie Nicks on, literally, for its “Halloween Extravaganza” Saturday night. The Chain – A Fleetwood Mac Experience will highlight the restaurant’s “Night of 100 Stevie’s” event, starting at 7 p.m. Organizers encourage patrons to come in their scariest Stevie Nicks/1970s costumes. The restaurant is located at 388 Medford Ave. in Patchogue.
At the Patchogue Outdoor Market on Sunday, Oct. 29, all children will be welcome to come dressed, trick-or-treat and paint a free pumpkin. The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Patchogue’s Long Island Rail Road train station.
Lil Tots Sports Studio is having a “Halloween Spooktacular” event on Sunday, Oct. 29, featuring senory and sports play. Open to kids 18 months to 5 years old, the event will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lil Tots is located at 655 E. Main St., Suite 33, in East Patchogue.
