A well-known Hamptons real estate broker who appeared in the Netflix series “Million Dollar Beach House” was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Thursday in Hampton Bays.
Southampton Town Police said the driver involved remains at large as of Thursday night.
The victim, identified by police as 40-year-old Sara Burack of Southampton, was a former agent with Nest Seekers International, a luxury real estate agency with offices in the Hamptons and New York City.
A 911 caller reported an injured woman lying in the roadway on Montauk Highway near Villa Paul Restaurant, west of Springville Road, about 2:45 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Responding officers found Burack unconscious and suffering from injuries indicating she had been struck by a vehicle, according to a police. She was taken by Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she died from her injuries Thursday afternoon.
Police said the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
