A female tenant’s horrifying discovery inside the bathroom of her Water Mill rental home led to the arrest of a New Jersey man on felony charges, cops said.
The woman found a hidden camera about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and immediately called Southampton Town Police, authorities said.
An investigation by detectives led to the arrest of James Bassett-Cann, 36, of Stockton, New Jersey, who now faces a felony charge of second-degree unlawful surveillance.
Bassett-Cann will be arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date.
Police are urging anyone with information about Bassett-Cann — or who believes they may have been similarly victimized — to call the Southampton Police Detective Division at 631.702.2230.
