Jimmy Kimmel pranks George Santos with outrageous Cameo requests

|

Stay tuned! Because the hits will keep coming all next week.

Late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel pulled a fast one on former Rep. George Santos, ordering up fantastically ridiculous video messages from the ousted Long Island congressman on Cameo. And the disgraced politician — again and again — bit the lure.

Santos had kicked off his new Cameo gig, offering personalized well-wishes for $75 a pop. But he quickly upped the ante to $500 per video.

That gluttony caught the attention of the crew at ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“On one hand, you hate to give money to a guy like George Santos, but on the other, eh, pretty good chance he has your credit card information already,” Kimmel said during the monologue of his Thursday night episode. “Whatever the case, I couldn’t resist.”

Kimmel didn’t identify himself as the sender. “I just wrote them and sent them to find out ‘Will Santos Say It?'”

The result was a bevy of straight-up goofy dispatches from Santos — at least two of which were recorded in the dark from inside some type of car.

Exhibit A: “Hey, Brenda! I wanted to congratulate you on successfully cloning your beloved schnauzer Adolf. I know it was a lot of trials and tribulations, but you finally did it,” Santos said, acting on the make-believe story involving a woman finally succeeding in cloning her dog after going “through a lot of dogs in the trial runs.”

“Now, you get to enjoy Adolf and be happy. So give him a belly rub for me,” continued Santos, capping off his greeting-for-hire by puckering his lips and giving an enthusiastic “Muah” air kiss.

During his opening monologue, Kimmel showed three Cameo messages from Santos. He said that there are others and that he’ll be “parcelling” them out on next week’s shows, which air at 11:30 p.m. week nights on ABC.

House expels New York Rep. George Santos

Here’s another incognito Cameo request to Santos that Kimmel showcased on Thursday:

“George please congratulate my friend Gary Fortuna for winning the Clearwater Florida Beef Eating contest. He ate almost 6 pounds of loose ground beef in under 30 minutes — which was a new record! He’s not feeling great right now, but the doctor thinks he will be released from the hospital soon. Please wish him a speedy recovery!”

Hook, line and sinker, Santos took the bait.

“Hey, Gary Fortuna. George Santos here. I just wanted to stop by to congratulate you for winning the Clearwater Florida Beef Eating contest. Eating six pounds of loose ground beef in under 30 minutes is an all-time new record! Which is amazing and impressive. Congratulations for the win. I know you’re feeling a little under the weather. But I hear from a great source that the doctor said you’ll be released from the hospital soon and recover well. Look, have a speedy recovery and then enjoy the festivities at the end of the year. Bye!”

The House expelled Santos last week following a scandal-plagued tenure in Congress and amid a looming criminal trial. He is the sixth member in the chamber’s history to be ousted by colleagues.

Among 47 submissions, Santos’ average customer rating on Cameo is 4.83 out of 5 stars. He has recorded a number of his Cameos from a car. Check out these two examples below.

Santos’ average video length is 33 seconds. He often chills inside and dons a zipped-up-to-the-top hoodie in his Cameos.

And he seems to always offer a friendly air kiss at the end of his recordings.
