Though he’s probably the biggest, Justin Timberlake is hardly the first celebrity to be arrested for allegedly driving drunk in the Hamptons.
The international pop superstar was pulled over in Sag Harbor just after midnight today, after leaving The American Hotel restaurant, and charged with driving while intoxicated, multiple news outlets have reported. NBC New York reported that the 43-year-old “Prince of Pop” allegedly told police, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”
Drunk driving is arguably the most common summertime crime in the Hamptons, and as evidenced by Timberlake’s arrest and the list below, celebrities are not immune to landing in the police blotter for it.

The former host of CNN’s “World Business Today” in 2022 allegedly had another mishap on the road, in Palm Beach, Florida, the New York Post reported. Police there said Taylor was driving a white Mercedes when it struck the back of a black Ford and kept going. In that incident, she pleaded not guilty to charges of careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
It’s unclear whether either incident has been adjudicated.
