Comedy superstar Kevin Hart and 10-time Grammy Award-winning songstress Norah Jones are set to perform at an iconic East End backdrop this summer — the historic Montauk Point Lighthouse.
The performances — part of a growing series of major benefit shows staged at the lighthouse — have become two of the hottest tickets of the season on Long Island.
Hart’s “Acting My Age” performance will headline a special outdoor comedy show on July 12, with proceeds benefiting the Montauk Historical Society, which oversees the landmark. Three weeks later, on Aug. 2, Jones will take the stage for a concert under the stars.
The two mega stars are big gets for Montauk — and for Long Island — as the lighthouse continues to draw top national talent for its summertime benefit series. Their shows build on the lighthouse’s success of last year’s sold-out shows by three-time Emmy Award-winning writer, actor, and comedian John Mulaney, and Grammy Award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist Laufey.
Kevin Hart: ‘Acting My Age,’ a phone-free event
Kevin Hart’s appearance in Montauk is part of his current “Acting My Age” tour — a project intended to reflect the performer’s growth and new creative direction.
The Philadelphia-born comedian has starred in 11 No. 1 films and grossed over $4.23 billion worldwide at the box office. Earlier this year, Hart was awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, becoming one of the youngest recipients in the award’s history.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for his July 12 event, with Hart’s comedy set kicking off at 8 p.m. The show will be staged on the lighthouse grounds and is a uniquely phone-free event.
How phone-free will work
You’ll keep your phone and devices with you, but for the show, they’ll be locked away in special Yondr pouches. If you need to use your phone, just head to one of the designated “phone use areas” around the venue.
Before going back to the performance, you’ll need to secure your device again. Just a heads-up — folks caught using a phone, smartwatch or similar device during the show will be shown the door.
Hart announced his tour schedule back in May.

Norah Jones: Under the stars
On Aug. 2, Norah Jones — known for her soulful voice and genre-crossing artistry — will perform an outdoor concert on the lighthouse grounds.
Jones rose to fame with her 2002 debut “Come Away With Me,” which swept the 2003 Grammys and has since sold more than 52 million albums worldwide. Her latest release, “Visions” from 2024, earned her another Grammy win in February.
Jones’ concert is billed as “a magical evening under the stars.” As with Hart’s show, proceeds will benefit the lighthouse fund.

Why the shows matter
Both performances support the ongoing preservation of the lighthouse, which completed a $1.8 million exterior restoration in 2022 and operates with a $1.5 million annual budget. The Montauk Historical Society’s summer concert series has become a major source of funding in helping sustain the beloved landmark.
