About Long Island Restaurant Week

There’s a Long Island Restaurant Week every winter, spring and fall.

“These are opportunities for restaurants is to lure in Long Islanders at a great price, with the idea that they’ll be returning for special occasions or future visits,” said Nicole Castillo of Long Island Restaurant & Hospitality Group, which operates the events. “For the diners, it’s just just a great deal and an opportunity to samples places that might be currently out of budget.”

Long Island Restaurant Week is also in its 17th year. An estimated 116,000 meals are served during each promotion at over 140 Long Island locations, which is good for about $4 million in revenues.

“If the traffic on our website during restaurant week is an indication of the diners participating and enjoying the promotion, then the amount of people dining out is definitely back in full force,” Castillo said. “This spring is a great time to get together with family, old friends, or new friends and enjoy an affordable meal out together at a new restaurant.”
