Ooh La La Boutiques to close last retail location

|

It’s the end of an era for Ooh La La Boutiques.

The popular women’s clothing store will be closing its last brick-and-mortar retail location, located in downtown Babylon.

Jennifer Montiglio, the owner of Ooh La La, announced the closure on Monday. Montiglio, who also had locations in Sayville, Ocean Beach, Long Beach, and Huntington, will be closing the Babylon store on Monday, Feb. 5.

“I’m in my 20th year of business and pretty darn proud of all we have accomplished!” Montiglio wrote on Facebook.

She mentioned that the shop’s merchandise will be discounted by 50% until the last two days, after which all prices will be slashed by 70%.

While Montiglio referred to this as a “pause” and not an official retirement, she stated that her company will continue to sell online. Click here to visit the website.

She expressed her gratitude for all the years she has been in business.

“Thank you for supporting us for so many years!” she wrote. “The relationships made will forever be cherished.”

Everly & Co, which has a shop in Sayville, will be taking over the space at 13 Deer Park Avenue, according to Montiglio.

“A gorgeous store owned by a wonderful woman that I’m very proud of, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for a very long time!” wrote Montiglio about her successor.”
