The Club: A Public Steakhouse opened in July within The Waterview at Port Jefferson Country Club on 44 Fairway Drive.
The property’s owner, The Crest Group, was busy all winter building out the space. The Cliffside, a former continental and seafood spot, closed Jan. 1 to make way for the new venture.
“We’re happy to get part of the summer season in,” Denise Scidmore of Crest Hospitality, said in July. The plan had been to open in March.
Beyond the view, diners have their choice of fine cuts of meats with in-house made steak sauce selections, as well as an array of seafood.
