Shake Shack opens first Long Island drive-thru in Selden Nov. 20

|
Shake Shack set to open this month in Selden.

Long Island burger fans, get ready: Shake Shack this month is officially opening its easternmost Suffolk County location and its very first Long Island drive-thru.

The new Shake Shack in Selden — at 618 Middle Country Road — will welcome its first customers on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m.

The location marks the chain’s sixth on Long Island and introduces a Shake Shack drive-thru experience to Long Island, complete with a digital menu board and a two-lane ordering system.

Guests can pick from such Shake Shack favorites as the classic ShackBurger® and Crinkle-Cut Fries to hand-spun shakes and limited-time items, including the new Big Shack.

Selden’s Shack will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Located in the Westfield Center, the Selden location will offer dine-in and drive-thru options.

Store management said opening day will feature custom mini Shake Shack tote bags for the first wave of guests. As part of Shake Shack’s Stand for Something Good® mission, the company said it will give $1 from every sandwich sold on Nov. 20 to the For Long Island Food Pantry.

Greater Long Island previously reported that four additional Long Island locations were planned — Commack, Holbrook, Riverhead and Valley Stream. The Selden Shack will become the furthest east that Shake Shack has ventured on Long Island.

Shake Shack already operates two Suffolk County locations, in Lake Grove and Melville, as well as Nassau County locations in New Hyde Park, Oceanside and Westbury.
