Suffolk’s last Uncle Louie G’s set to close in Lindenhurst

|

After a decade of serving frozen treats, Uncle Louie G’s announced its closing in Lindenhurst.

A Facebook post from the location says the storefront at 198 East Montauk Highway will have its last day of operation Saturday, Nov. 19, from noon to 5 p.m.

“We want to thank everyone who has supported us,” the post reads. “We hope we delivered on making all of you ‘feel like a kid again.'”

It’s the lone Suffolk County location. There are three other franchises in Nassau County in Seaford, Oyster Bay and Oceanside.

The Lindenhurst location was taken over by a a local family in 2019. The operators Michael and Nora Dorso, a husband and wife tea, have lived in the Lindenhurst neighborhood for 25-plus years.

“We live right down the block,” Michael previously told GreaterLindenhurst. “It is a great community with the best neighbors.”

It is unclear what will happen to the property in the future. Please check back with greaterlindenhurst.com for updates.
