The 10th annual Arts by the Fall art show is this Saturday at Argyle Park

|

The Babylon Village Arts Council will be hosting its 10th annual “Arts by the Fall” art show at Argyle Park this Saturday in Babylon.

The event is free and runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  All residents are welcome to walk through the park to admire and purchase works from Long Island artists, said the Art Council’s co-president, Rose Norman.

There will be 20 artists on hand, as well as two students from Babylon High School displaying their artwork.

“It’s an opportunity for local artists to show their work,” she said.

This year will feature an Arts by the Fall first-timer in artist John Bell, a local sculptor that uses salvaged metals for his creations.

The type of art on display is going to be wide-ranging, said Norman.

“We have everything,” she said.

The art on display will include sculptures, jewelry, oil paintings, pottery, and more.
