The Suffolk County Police Department is advising drivers of road closures in Brentwood on Saturday, March 22, for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Closures will be in effect from noon to 3 p.m.
Brentwood Road will be closed from Suffolk Avenue to 3rd Avenue during this time. The parade, which begins at 1 p.m., will start at the corner of Clarke Street and Washington Avenue, and finish at Ross Memorial Park.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes during these hours.
Grand Marshal: The grand marshal for this year’s parade is Ellen Edelstein, a trustee of the Brentwood Public Library.
Weather: The National Weather Service forecasts an increasing cloudy day with a high of 56. Winds are expected to range from 6 to 14 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph.
