There’s a great tradition that runs through the Town of Babylon each holiday season.
For 20 years, the town’s Department of Human Services has organized the annual Project Christmas Angel program, where a local business owner “adopts” a less fortunate family for the season.
The goal is get new organizations involved each year.
This year, the folks at GalletAir in West Babylon stepped up in a big way by adopting multiple families.
To do so they went shopping, then dropped off a bundle of wrapped presents at Town Hall.
“Our children who look forward to this every year come with big smiles and our parents with big tears,” said Madeline Quintyne-McConney, the commissioner of human services.
