Note: This story has been updated to include a statement from IHOP.

IHOP is planning to open shop inside Patchogue’s Gateway Plaza II, Brookhaven Town records indicate.

The town board will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, April 25, regarding the proposed 6,800-square-foot pancake house. An IHOP spokesperson confirmed that the chain is looking to open a space with 244 seats by the end of 2024.

IHOP has restaurants in Medford, Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson Station, Bay Shore, Hauppauge, Commack, Riverhead, Babylon and Lindenhurst among other Long Island locations. The breakfast giant operates more than 1,000 restaurants nationwide.

The Medford IHOP opened last year in the Sunshine Square shopping plaza, 700 E. Patchogue Yaphank Road. Last month saw the grand opening of the IHOP in Port Jefferson Station, located at 4837 Nesconset Highway.

This is a developing story. Please check back with Greater Long Island for details.
