Earlier this month, the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce encouraged families to go trick-or-treating in the downtown this Halloween.
The families listened. The sidewalks were crowded Saturday with costumed kids and adults who visited Sayville’s shops, restaurants and other storefronts for goodies.
Sayville’s Chamber also gave away gift baskets to those who shopped in the stores and earned raffle tickets by doing so. The chamber supplied 72 businesses with 2,400 sealed candy bags.
“I am so grateful to the community for coming out and supporting our Main Street stores and restaurants,” Greater Sayville Chamber President Eileen Tyznar said. “It was incredible to see the town bustling agin and all the happy faces.”
