The Irish pride was on display Sunday as the young and the old all headed to downtown Patchogue for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
But many came with heavy hearts after the sudden passing of longtime Patchogue Village Trustee Joseph Keyes on March 10, less than two weeks before he was to serve as parade grand marshal.
Keyes had considered serving as grand marshal the honor of a lifetime. He was 73.
