Spirit Week in Farmingdale schools officially kicked off on Monday with a celebration at Saltzman East Memorial School.
Hundreds of elementary school children cheered on the high school’s football, dance, cheer and step teams during an energetic pep rally held in the school’s gymnasium.
The Spirit Week events in the district are build up toward the varsity football team’s homecoming game against Baldwin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday at Farmingdale High School’s Don Snyder Stadium.
