Photos: East Islip defeats Kings Park in homecoming win over holiday weekend

|

Columbus Day weekend also included homecoming festivities in East Islip, where students, their families and the football faithful got to cheer on a 37-20 win over Kings Park on Saturday.

Holidays was the theme of this year’s floats,  with each class building a float for one of four quite different holidays: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Fourth of July.

The freshman’s Valentine’s Day float finished fourth, with the sophomores’ Independence Day float coming in third. The Halloween-themed junior float was second, with the seniors taking away the first-place prize for their Christmas-themed float.

Kyle Engblom and Emily Glennon were crowned as homecoming king and queen.
