$199 for unlimited flights: Frontier’s penny-a-ticket pass lands at Long Island MacArthur

Fort Lauderdale one week, Orlando the next, Tampa after that — Frontier’s GoWild pass turns Islip into a launchpad for six-plus months one-cent flights

Pack light, go often as you want, and fly for less than the cost of driving.

Frontier Airlines has rolled out its 2026 GoWild! Fall and Winter Pass, and for $199, Long Islanders flying out of Islip’s MacArthur Airport can book as many flights as they want through Feb. 28, 2027 — each one priced at just a penny.

The pass is active the moment it’s purchased, so there’s no waiting period before booking a first getaway, Frontier officials said. From Islip, that means nonstop access to Frontier’s warm-weather lineup: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Palm Beach and Tampa.

Plus, the deal applied to connections to more than 100 destinations — when travelers touch down at a Frontier hub.

But the base fare, the part that often devours a paycheck, is basically free.

The offer comes with a use-it-or-lose-the-best-of-it window.

Travelers who get the pass this Monday unlock a wider set of pass-holder seats and can plan trips as far out as Jan. 4, 2027, with early-booking fees starting at $29.

However, if you that date, standard GoWild! rules kick in. So that means flights can only be booked the day before a domestic departure, or 10 days ahead for international travel. It’s a setup built for spontaneous trips, not long-range planning.

Frontier has also eased blackout restrictions on some peak travel dates with GoWild! passes. Nonetheless, GoWild! pass holders flying on a blackout day will still need to fork over peak day charge that will range from $79 to $159.

“The GoWild Fall & Winter Pass makes it possible to experience fall foliage in New England, hit the slopes in the Rocky Mountains and escape to the beaches of Puerto Rico,” Frontier Chief Commercial Officer Bobby Schroeter said, “and that’s just the beginning of the limitless adventures available to our pass holders for just $199 for a limited time.”

For Long Islanders used to driving to JFK or LaGuardia to catch a cheap fare, the pitch is straightforward: a pass that costs less than a single round trip to Florida on most airlines, bookable from the airport in their own backyard.

The pass is sold exclusively through FlyFrontier.com and the Frontier app, tied to a Frontier Miles account. Multiple passengers can book together on one reservation, but everyone in the group needs their own valid GoWild pass.
