Burglars hit iconic Massapequa burger joint All American Hamburger Drive-In

All American Hamburger Drive-In, the beloved and iconic Massapequa burger joint, was burglarized early Monday morning, police said.

A 911 call reporting the break-in came in at 4 a.m., police and an All American manager told Greater Long Island. But they did not release details on how the burglars got in or what was taken. The investigation is ongoing, Nassau Police confirmed.

The restaurant was temporarily cordoned off with yellow police tape as investigators processed the scene, with a Crime Scene Search Unit van and marked patrol cars stationed in the parking lot. By the afternoon, the uber popular eatery was back to business as usual, serving up its quarter-pounders and hot dogs to hungry customers.

All American has built a devoted following over more than six decades on Merrick Road, drawing burger pilgrims from across Long Island and beyond for its old-school counter service and prices that have remained affordable over the years.
