Small Business Media Summit takes place in Port Jefferson on Thursday

|

From the explosion of social media to the creation of online newspapers, media has changed tremendously over the years.

To better educate Long Islanders on the state of the media and different avenues in which to advertise, Kevin Wood of Kevin Wood Media created an event called the Small Business Media Summit.

“Media tends to be more fragmented than ever and can be a little overwhelming for small businesses,” said Wood.  “It was my intention to demystify the choices a small business has to successfully advertise and market their businesses in 2019.”

The program, held at the Port Jefferson Village Center on Thursday, October 18, will have panelists discussing topical questions (scroll down to see specifics).

Among the panelists include GreaterLongIsland’s Nicholas Esposito, as well as professionals in radio, newspapers, and magazines.

The event, sponsored by the Brookhaven Chambers of Commerce Coalition, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
