LuLu’s Lobster Inne is just days away from opening its doors to the Bay Shore and Brightwaters community.
The restaurant, which has a sister location in Patchogue, is taking over the historic Jon Thomas Inne at 91 Howell’s Road and transforming it into a prime seafood destination.
Joe Crennan, operations manager of LuLu’s, gave GreaterBayShore a tour this past week. (Scroll down for photos.)
The menu is almost finalized as well, Crennan said, which includes “elegant food” dishes such as a seafood tower, surf and turf, bucket of snow crab, seafood pot boils, and warm lobster salad. There will also be non-seafood options, the owners told GreaterBayShore.
The two-story building holds 152 dining seats, has 18 bar stools, a pool table, darts, and an upstairs catering hall.
COVID-19 precautions are being implemented, including adding disposable paper menus, social distancing measures, and barriers between tables and bar stools.
LuLu’s Lobster Inne, while completely revamped with more nautical décor, will still be keeping some of that old Jon Thomas’s charm.
“The Old Heidelberg room is now a part of the bar,” he said. “We still have stuff from when it was The Old Heidelberg like old photos and wine menu.”
Below are photos of what people can expect when they walk through the doors of LuLu’s Lobster Inne this month.
