|

Fourth of July also brought with it dozens of artists who set up shop in Bellport for the annual Artists on the Lane event.

The show, organized by the South Bay Arts Association, featured nearly 50 artist of all stripes who lined historic Bellport Lane from South Country Road toward the Bellport Marina. We picked five to showcase.

Maloney just finished illustrating a cookbook, called The Shelter Island 36, a collection of New England dishes all developed on the East End of Long Island.

So that would explain why most of her watercolor-and-ink paintings on display in Bellport featured fish, lobsters and maps of Long Island, she said.

The book is written by private chef Jason Casey.

Maloney’s studio, Hampton Art Space, is located in Hampton Bays.
