After just over a year of serving plant-based goodies at 4836 Sunrise Highway in Sayville, Clementine’s Plant-Based Deli & Bakery is permanently shutting its doors on Sunday.
Owner Chloe Jones announced on Facebook that she and her mom, Cira, made the difficult decision to close the vegan eatery.
Clementine’s was the dream of the Sayville mother-daughter duo, driven by their love for vegan baking and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Chloe Jones said in her statement that there were a number of reasons why they decided to shut down, including Cira Jones’ possibly moving out of state, Chloe Jones recently having her third child, and her limited availability of her staff.
“The time has come that we must say goodbye,” Chloe said in her social media post. “This is what we call a really bittersweet moment…we straight-up love you all.”
For their last day this Sunday, Clementine’s will offer free small soft serve ice cream and giveaways from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The shop is also selling their signature foods at discount prices, including breakfast and lunch frozen entrees.
