Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced new plans to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Starting at 8 p.m. today, all dining in restaurants and bars in New York state will be stopped — however, take out and delivery will still be available.
Also, all gyms, movie theaters and casinos will be closed. All crowd capacity must be reduced to 50, as well. Additionally, local governments must reduce their workforces by 50% at a minimum.
In a news conference, Cuomo said Connecticut and New Jersey will also be following the same measures.
No clear timetable was available for when these establishments will be allowed to open.
Cuomo added that fees in state, local and county parks are being waived for people to enjoy the outdoors.
