An Amityville family were the first to celebrate a child-birth in 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
After arriving around midnight, Rochelle Monroe and Josean Lewis were rushed to the delivery room. At 12:08 a.m., the two welcomed their new baby boy, Kairo Lewis, who was delivered by Dr. Angeline Seah.
Kairo was born at eight pounds, 12 ounces, and measures just over 22 inches long.
According to the West Islip hospital, for being the “First Family of 2019,” the family was given a complimentary gift basket filled with clothes, toys and treats courtesy of My Little Rascals in Islip.
