Cuomo tightens COVID-19 restrictions for private gatherings ahead of Thanksgiving

|

Gov. Andrew Cuomo today announced new restrictions for private gatherings limited operating times for gyms, restaurants, bars and bowling alleys.

In response to an upward trend in coronavirus cases in New York state, as well as across the U.S., Cuomo is limiting “indoor gatherings at private residences to 10 people,” he said at a press conference.

These changes go into effect Friday, Nov. 13, at 10 p.m. and come just two weeks ahead of Thanksgiving.

In addition, restaurants, bars and any other operation holding a state liquor license must close at 10 p.m. Food deliveries will be allowed to continue later.

Gyms will also need to close by 10 p.m.
