Funeral service to be held for 20-year-old Jenna Jacobsen of East Islip

|

Arrangements have been made to remember the life of East Islip’s Jenna Jacobsen.

The 20-year-old, who grew up on Long Island, went missing in April before authorities found her remains in Florida earlier this month. The cause of her death is still unknown, according to reports.

On Sunday, June 23, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. there will be a funeral service for her at Albrecht, Bruno & O’Shea Funeral Homes of East Islip.

Last week, in an interview with The Palm Beach Post, Jenna’s older sister, Jillian, remembered her lively sister.  In the article, she shared fond memories of her younger sibling, like the time she enjoyed the Pirates of The Caribbean ride at Walt Disney World at 5 years old.

“Jacobsen said her sister had so much to offer the world,” the article reads, “She loved animals and, no matter whether it was a hamster or a puppy, always owned a pet as a child. Her goal was to apply to a New York veterinary program.”
