Today marks one year since the launch of GreaterMoriches, and we’re grateful to everyone in the community for welcoming us into your homes and hearts.
In the past year, we’ve gotten to know so many wonderful people in the communities we serve in southeastern Brookhaven Town — at dedications, festivals, parades, school events, as well as through our coverage of the region’s rich history, changes to the food scene and, of course, important local news events.
We’ve shared in your struggles and triumphs, and many of you have kindly reached out as we faced our own challenges.
We’ve been journalists for more than 40 years combined, but adding “entrepreneurs” to our resume was new to us. This, while raising two girls in the William Floyd school district, both of whom have become unofficial cub reporters. They were a big help when someone was skeptical about this new operation called GreaterMoriches, which operates under the growing umbrella of Greater Long Island Media Group.
“The idea all along was for GreaterMoriches to become the go-to community news resource for the area and we are absolutely seeing that happen,” said Greater Long Island founder Michael White. “We couldn’t be happier with Carl and Angela and the type of journalistic content they’re providing free to their communities.”
