A driver who drove her blue Hyundai sedan across the front lawn of a Nesconset home and struck a 2022 Ford parked in the driveway got out of her car, approached the residence’s security camera and apologized for the wreck, police said. But it’s what she allegedly didn’t do — leaver her contact information or call the police — that has her in hot water.
The woman is now wanted for the hit and run wreck. Meanwhile, Suffolk County Police Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are hoping the public can help identify and locate the woman who fled the scene of the Sunday evening crash at the Pierson Street home.
Cops said the homeowner was not at home at the time of the wreck.
