Healthy meal-prep chain plans soft opening March 13 and grand opening celebration March 14
Hummus Fit — the fast-growing healthy meal-prep brand with deep Long Island roots — is getting set to throw open the doors this weekend to its newest storefront in Miller Place.
Located at 451 Route 25A, next door to Subway, will hold a soft opening on Friday, followed by a grand opening celebration Saturday, the company announced.
The Miller Place shop marks Hummus Fit’s 14th location overall, giving the chain seven stores in Suffolk and seven in Nassau.
The store’s grand opening event will feature several promotions and giveaways. Customers will receive 30 percent off orders across the weekend. Additionally, if you spend $200 or more on an order, you can score a free air fryer (while supplies last, the owners noted).

The official grand opening celebration — scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday — will include free samples and sponsor giveaways. The first 100 customers will receive free Hummus Fit apparel and other goodies.
The event will also feature a Buffin-eating contest and the debut of a new Buffin drop. The chain’s signature protein-packed muffin treats have become one of the brand’s signature menu items.
Founded by Long Island fitness enthusiasts Tony and Liana Mavruk, Hummus Fit began as a meal-prep service focused on healthy, ready-to-eat meals and snacks designed for customers looking for convenient, nutrition-conscious options.
Since launching in 2015, the company has steadily expanded its footprint across Long Island, with locations in communities including Ronkonkoma, Selden, Deer Park, Farmingdale, Woodbury, East Islip, Huntington, Island Park, Lindenhurst, Lynbrook and Lake Grove, among others.
Miller Place Route 25A retail boom

The Hummus Fit opening in Miller Place is part of a broader development surge along Route 25A in Miller Place.
Trader Joe’s opened nearby last month, as well as a Jimmy Johns sandwich shop. A new True Value Hardware is under construction next to Trader Joe’s, and a Sobol and a Mister Softee are planned for the Aliano Shopping Center later this year.
