Soul Brew (Saint James)
Soul Brew is the passion project of Kristen Walsh, Dean Lambros, Jeff Petrocelli, and Nicole Petrocelli, who all had the desire to bring something hip to the Smithtown area five years ago.
The shop is located at 556 Route 25A in St. James. The company has since expanded and opened Soul Brew locations in Huntington and Bellmore.
This colorful specialty coffee shop and eatery uses 100 percent Organic Fair Trade Coffee and Tea, all sourced from New York.
Anthony D’amore is the store manager at the St. James location and says that “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t love the staff so much. Everyone wants to be involved in making the drinks.”
The beans rotate seasonally.
Soul Brew changes its drink specials frequently and involves the staff in on the fun.
D’amore noted that a competition among the team involves each staffer coming up with a creation for a special offering that runs for two weeks, and the most-sold drink creation wins a prize.
