People with parking ticket fees in the Town of Islip are about to get a steep discount.
Starting from June 15 to July 21, the town will be rolling out an amnesty program for unpaid parking tickets.
The program will apply to people who have outstanding parking summonses in Islip Town that were issued prior to April 20, 2020.
The town said those who have already pled not-guilty to parking summonses and are awaiting a hearing date, may change their pleas to guilty and take advantage of the 50% reduction.
Fees can be paid online at www.parkingticketassist.com/islip, or by mail with a check or money order payable to the Town of Islip Traffic and Parking Violations Bureau.
