|

A Long Islander is calling on her neighbors to show support for victims who lost their lives and for those injured in Sunday night’s Las Vegas shooting.

So far, 58 people are confirmed dead with at least 515 injured in what is now the largest mass shooting in U.S. history, according to CBS.

A sunset vigil is being held today, Monday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Capital One plaza on East Main Street, said the event’s organizer Jacqueline Routh, who lives in Patchogue.

People are invited to show up at the plaza around 6 p.m.
