A Levittown man working at a Selden spa pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges related to his arrest for allegedly inappropriately touching a customer during a massage Sunday afternoon.
Suffolk County Police said the incident happened about 12:50 p.m. at W Foot Relaxing Spa, where a 27-year-old woman was receiving a massage. During the session, authorities said the employee forcibly touched her while she was lying on the massage table.
The woman told the employee to leave the room, left the spa, and drove directly to Suffolk Police’s Sixth Precinct in Selden to report the incident, police said.
Following an investigation by Sixth Squad detectives, Li-Yong He, 52, of Levittown, was arrested and charged with forcible touching and unauthorized practice of a profession, according to police.
He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct, ahead of his arraignment Monday at Suffolk County First District Court in Central Islip.
Detectives said anyone who believes they may have had a similar encounter with He is asked to contact the Sixth Squad at 631.854.8652.
