Long Island farm stands to visit right here on the South Shore

|

Glover Farms

641-681 Victory Ave, Brookhaven

Glover Farms has been operating since 1952.

And here’s a fun fact: It was among the first farms on Long Island to allow the public to pick their own strawberries.

In the summer, strawberries, honey and strawberry jam are in abundance. In October, pumpkins can be picked and visitors can enjoy donuts, roasted corn and pumpkin bread. They also offer hayrides and a corn maze.

A new permanent farm stand will be open by the end of August and sell freshly picked produce, homemade jams, honey and other delights. Local produce will also be sold.

Until the farm stand hours are announced, Glover Farms is open daily from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. in June and in October they open weekdays from 26 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m.6 p.m.
