A new Panera Bread location on Long Island is in the works for Stony Brook University Hospital.
The chain restaurant, which sells bread items, soups, salads, and sandwiches, is eyeing a launch at the North Shore hospital this spring.
“We are excited to announce our new café within Stony Brook University Hospital,” said Greg George, vice president of operations at Doherty Enterprises, the company that owns this location. “We are also looking forward to welcoming a whole new family of Panera Bread associates to this location and can’t wait to get to know each and every one of our new staffers.”
Doherty Enterprises operates over 20 Panera Breads across the island, as well as eight in New York City. The nearest Panera Bread to Stony Brook is located in Port Jefferson on Route 347.
According to ownership, the Stony Brook University Hospital Panera Bread will be hiring 60 employees.
