Road and lot closure details from the Suffolk County Police Department:
Railroad Avenue will be closed between Main Street and South Street as of 5 a.m. Beginning at 9 a.m., Railroad Avenue will be closed between Main Street and Sephton Street.
South Street, Church Street, Sephton Street and Gerard Street will be closed as of 2 p.m.
The municipal parking lot on the west side of South Ocean Avenue in the rear of the Emporium as well as the Long Island Railroad parking lot on Sephton Street will be closed as of 5 a.m. And cars left in the lots overnight will be towed at 9 a.m., according to village officials.
Any vehicles remaining on streets or in parking lots after the closures will be towed. Towed vehicles will be taken to the Village of Patchogue Department of Public Works Garage, located at 216 Waverly Avenue in Patchogue.
Motorists are advised that all parking rules and restrictions will be in effect.
Motorists must park legally or will risk being ticketed or towed.

Update: It is also expected that the 6th District Court Parking lot on West Avenue and West Main Street will be closed to all, except authorized personnel, starting at about 2 p.m. Thursday.
No one should attempt to park in the lot after 2 p.m.
Original post: Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri met with county police again Tuesday evening as local and federal authorities move closer to hammering out a security plan for Donald Trump’s Thursday’s visit to the village.
The Republican frontrunner will be speaking from 5 to 6 p.m. at a county Republican fundraiser at The Emporium nightclub.
In an interview Tuesday night, Pontieri stressed the plans are still “very preliminary” and might not fully crystallize until late Thursday morning or even that afternoon.
“It’s a fluid type of thing, depending on the number of people,” he said. “They’re going to have places marked out for each of the groups, the for-Trumps and against-Trumps to all do their thing.”
One thing that’s certain is the Church Street parking lot will be closed and unavailable for public parking starting at 5 a.m. Thursday. That’s a full 12 hours before the presidential candidate’s expected arrival. The lot stretches from Railroad Avenue to South Ocean Avenue.
Also at 5 a.m., Pontieri expects Railroad Avenue, Church Street, South Street, Gerard Street and Sephton Street to all closed to traffic.
“After they’re closed, only residents to the area will be allowed,” he said. “And there will be probably be rolling closures Thursday as the day goes along.”

“This is all very preliminary but people should be making plans,” Pontieri added. “It’s more about the businesses and the employees and people who are typically on Main Street, to deal with the fact that parking will be limited.”
At a public meeting in Village Hall Monday night, Pontieri said the chief concern of the Village Board is the health and safety of its residents and visitors.
“But my sense is this will all be taken care of very carefully and judiciously,” he said of the security measures. “And the people will understand. People will want to come in and make noise and hold signs, but it will be very clear the police will not tolerate any violence whatsoever.
“They’ll scoop you out.”
