Pine Barrens Jam music fest moves venue from Center Moriches to Patchogue

|

Pine Barrens Jam — a new music festival on Long Island — has itself a new venue.

According to event organizers, an issue “meeting the standards of Town of Brookhaven” forced them to move the all-day concert from Ringhoff Farm in Center Moriches to the Blue Point Brewery in Patchogue.

The music festival, which features a plethora of local songwriters, musicians and poets, will still happen on Saturday, Sept. 18. The gates open at noon.

Drop The 4, a high-energy funk-fusion group, will headline, while the acoustic stage is set to feature a lineup of Long Island songwriters that includes Pete Mancini and Rorie Kelly. Popular local poet Bruce “AllOne” Pondolfo is among the orators presenting on the poetry and arts stage.

The performances will take place in the brewery’s new beer garden at 225 West Main Street.

This event is now free, and anyone who purchased a ticket for the original location will be refunded, reads a statement from the Pine Barrens Jam planners on Facebook. You can expect a refund within three to five days, they said.

“This year may look a little different than what we expected it to look like but we are sure that it’s going to be fantastic,” reads the social media post. “We look forward to what our future holds here at Pine Barrens Jam.”
