Suffolk police arrested a Holtsville woman this weekend in connection with a Friday afternoon bank robbery in Selden, police said.
Nina Cahill, 41, faces a third-degree robbery charge for allegedly robbing the Chase Bank branch at 999 Middle Country Road, police said. At 4:47 p.m. on Friday, Cahill, wearing a surgical mask, allegedly presented a teller with a note demanding money.
The bank employee complied and the suspect fled on foot with cash, authorities said. Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives, Cahill was arrested on the Long Island Expressway in Ronkonkoma about 8:05 p.m. on Saturday.
She was held in police custody overnight and arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
