Funeral services for Fotini “Fay” Michaelides, the beloved owner of Eastport’s Little Secret boutique store who died on Friday, Aug. 3, will be held this week in Center Moriches and Southampton. Michaelides was 52 years old.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Robertaccio Funeral Home, 495 Main St. in Center Moriches. A funeral mass for Michaelides will be held on Thursday at 11a.m. at Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons, 111 St. Andrews Road in Southampton.
Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 41 Main St. in Center Moriches.
“With shattered hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother,” reads the most recent post on Eastport Little Secret’s Instagram page. “For the last 15 years our mother was a vibrant member of the community.
“Each customer that walked into her beautiful boutique left as family,” the post continued. “These relationships are everlasting and were built off of the pure love our mother had for each and every person she met.”
Commenters on the post poured their hearts out to Michaelides’ survivors, offering condolences and kind thoughts about the business owner.
“This breaks my heart. Your mother was an incredible woman who was so proud to be a mom and of her beautiful daughters,” reads one of the many comments. “She made you feel at home when you came to the shop and when she hugged you, she really meant it.”
Moriches Bay Diner, owned by Michaelides’ brother Spiro Nikolopoulos, will close on Thursday, allowing family and friends to attend her funeral.
“Our hearts are broken for the passing of my sister,” Nikolopoulos posted on Facebook. “Thank you to the community for your continued love and support during this difficult time.”

Michaelides’ shop is a bit of a hidden gem in Eastport, selling a wide variety of goods, including apparel, jewelry and home decor. She originally sold her merchandise at her husband’s pharmacy, but her success drove her to open her own shop in 2009.
