A half-dozen student-athletes from this school year’s graduating class at Patchogue-Medford High School signed letters of intent this week to play sports at NCAA Division I and II colleges.
The group of seniors includes four boys’ lacrosse players. The Raiders lacrosse team, led by former Suffolk County, Division I, coach of the year Frank Padolecchia, went 8-8 last spring. With the four scholarship recipients in the fold, the team has high hopes for the spring 2024 season.
Rounding out the six is a field hockey player and a member of the baseball team.
Here’s a breakdown of who’s playing where, with photos taken by the district at the high school on signing day this week.
