Two lottery players win big on Long Island on the same day

|

It was a lucky Monday for two lottery players with winning tickets purchased on Long Island.

New York Lottery officials announced that the fortunate pair — one on a TAKE 5 ticket purchased in Huntington Station and the other with a Powerball slip bought in Elmont — were among the multiple top-prize winners in New York in June 10 drawings.

A third-prize-winning ticket worth $50,000 was sold for the Powerball drawing at Matos Sons Food Market, located at 271 Hempstead Tpke in Elmont. The winning numbers selected were 3, 10, 33, 58 and 59; the red Powerball number was 9.

In the TAKE 5 EVENING drawing, a prize-winning ticket worth just under $17,000 was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 1999 New York Ave in Huntington Station. The winning numbers drawn were 16, 18, 21, 28 and 33.

Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
