This could be the biggest breakfast sandwich south of Sunrise. Maybe even east of the East River.
“The Boss” was introduced last month at Henley’s Village Tavern in Brightwaters.
But don’t expect a visit from Adam Richman of Man V. Food. And there’s no T-shirts being offered to someone for finishing The Boss.
That’s because it’s impossible for one person to finish.
“We were looking to put together a sharing item for larger groups attending brunch,” explained Henley’s Village Tavern owner Dan Kitson. “I wanted something ridiculous and fun.”
Even larger groups are having trouble finishing, he said.
Nearly two dozen have been sold so far.
Here’s what The Boss is made of:
12-16 soft scrambled eggs
1/2 lb bacon
1/2 lb sausage
cheese mornay sauce
giant kaiser roll
2 pounds of breakfast potatoes
The sandwich costs $48. You can pair it with four mimosas for $60.
Kitson and the staff prepare only five for each brunch and it’s first come, first serve.
