A Levittown teen is facing multiple charges after police say he intentionally pulled a fire alarm inside the Nassau Supreme Court — and later bit a detective during his arrest.
According to Nassau police, 19-year-old Connor McCoy set off the alarm around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the courthouse on Supreme Court Drive in Mineola, forcing the building to be evacuated.
Later that day, officers went to McCoy’s home to arrest him. Police say he became combative and bit a detective on the forearm during the struggle.
The injured officer was treated at a local hospital.
McCoy is charged with assault, resisting arrest and falsely reporting an incident.
